How We Make
Every Pizza Perfect
Here’s how we fire up perfection for every pizza at Bellawood Farm’s wood-fired oven. From start to finish, our process is carefully crafted to deliver mouthwatering results every time.
Step 1. Prep
Great pizza starts with patience and passion! We ferment our hand-crafted dough for 24-48 hours to develop the perfect flavor and texture. Sauces and toppings are also prepared fresh, including the smoking of our premium hams, brisket, and lamb, and the precise mixing of sausage and meatball ingredients. Dough is then rolled day-of and allowed to proof for several more hours, while the glutens to relax for the perfect stretch.
Step 2. Stretch
Our pizza artisans carefully stretch the dough by hand. No rolling pins here – just skillful hands and a gentle touch to ensure the perfect light and airy dough structure.
Step 3. Top
Each pizza starts with a base of dough, then gets topped with sauce, cheese, meats, and vegetables. We use only the highest quality ingredients. Ingredients are chosen to balance flavor and appearance, and arranged with care so the final pizza tastes as good as it looks.
Step 4. Fire
Now for the grand moment! Your pizza is launched into our blazing brick oven, where its fired at 700 degrees. The intense heat creates the perfect crust, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It only takes three minutes for perfection to emerge.
Step 5. Serve
The finishing touches come last. Fresh herbs or garnishes are added to bring out the flavor. The pizza is sliced, served, and sent out while it’s still hot. Each bite reflects a process carried out with care from start to finish.
